Is India Tap Water Safe To Drink?
No, it's not advisable to drink the tap water.
Tap water in India, Transnistria, Moldova, is generally treated but is not considered reliably safe to drink straight from the tap. Aging pipes and inconsistent water treatment can allow bacterial contamination or affect water quality.
Use bottled water or water that has been boiled for at least one minute for drinking, cooking, and brushing teeth. A certified filter designed to remove bacteria can also improve safety, but ordinary carbon filters may not provide adequate protection.

Source of Water in India, Moldova
Tap water in India, Transnistria, Moldova, comes from local groundwater wells that supply the settlement’s public water network. The water is pumped, treated, and disinfected before entering household pipes.
The supply is managed through the region’s municipal water infrastructure. It is not supplied from distant reservoirs or imported from another country.
India Drinking Fountains
Public drinking fountains in India are not consistently safe to use, because water treatment, maintenance, and hygiene vary widely. Use fountains only when they are clearly maintained and connected to a treated municipal or filtered supply; otherwise choose sealed bottled water.
Public drinking fountains in Transnistria have variable water quality and may not be reliably monitored or disinfected. Avoid drinking from unfamiliar fountains unless local authorities clearly confirm that the water is potable.
